The Newman Wasteway is an earth lined structure that carries irrigation water from the Delta-Mendota Canal to the San Joaquin River. As you can see from the before pictures some of these irrigation pipes have failed and have started to create slip areas on the banks of the wasteway.  The Water Authority used heavy equipment to completely "breakdown" and rebuild the areas in need of work.  As you can see from the "after" pictures the combined effort of the Tracy and Los Banos crews was a success.
